Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS jagan Mohan Reddy had taken another sensational decision. He announced forming a Cabinet sub-committee to probe into irregularities that had taken place in the Power sector during the TDP regime. The Chief Minister observed that the TDP government had resorted to a massive scam resulting in the loss of Rs 2,636 crore to the exchequer. 

The CM held a review meeting with officials of the Power and Energy sectors in which Energy Minister Balineni srinivas Reddy and other senior officials participated on Wednesday. He strongly said that no one would be spared the officials, ministers concerned and even the former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

A Cabinet sub-committee would be formed into look into corrupt deals, and ACB, CID, and Enforcement Directorate would investigating the same, he said. He told officials to recover the losses from the companies. If need be, they should relook at the agreements that were inked in the past and if the power and energy companies do not fall in line, he told them to annul the existing agreements.
