A big crack on pillar no.20 appeared all of a sudden on PVNR expressway, many netizen shared the picture of crack on social media feeds, they asked the concerned authorities to look into it. The PV Narasimha rao expressway developed a crack on pillar no.20, creating panic and fear among motorists, recently a patch of mortar fell on a woman in Ameerpet metro station killing her instantly, although HMDA (hyderabad metropolitan development authority) said there is no need to worry.
The crack was first identified by some people who posted the pictures on social media platforms, later crack bulged a little bit which made the concerned authorities to look after it.
Locals said that, they noticed the crack on Wednesday, reportedly the crack might have developed due to torrential rains that has battered the city since one week, they also feared of overall structural health of the expressway.
Chief engineer of HMDA said, team of engineers inspected the crack, there is no need to worry as crack has formed either on pillar or girder, there is no need to panic as repairing work will be completed overnight, he added.
