SpaceX CEO and chief engineer Elon Musk has claimed that travelling to mars, and other orbits is not a dream anymore, the genius space enthusiast recently unravelled its products for space travel in south Texas.
SpaceX unveiled its ‘Boca Chica rocket assembly’ in south Texas to showcase its star ship ‘Mk I orbital prototype spacecraft. The objective of spacecraft is to travel at the height of 12 miles (19 km) before landing on earth. ‘Starhopper' which flew with one raptor to 500 feet (.05 km) altitude. Possibility of humans traveling to orbit will be realized through Mk IV or V, which can make you reach in orbit in six months time. Mk IV will be ready in four months of time.
The prototype is built entirely with steel to withstand any level of temperature in space, it weighs about 200 tonnes, and with fuel it weighs about 1400 tonnes, height of Mk I is 50 meters. It's been reported that the spacecraft and rocket will be launched in commercial market by 2021. Initially, in its first flight it will carry communication satellites. Interestingly Elon musk is planning a camp on moon, it will take humans as proposed to any location in one hour.
